Editor's Note: This page provides additional information for one of the entries on the Foundation's Frequently Asked Questions pages
How does the Foundation communicate with its donors?
- Our Annual Report on Giving is published each fall for the preceding fiscal year and is mailed to many Foundation contributors. (Click here to receive a complimentary copy of the latest report.)
- UI Foundation news releases about major gifts and other fund-raising developments are regularly distributed to local, state, and national media.
- Our web site contains a wealth of data about the UI Foundation, how to make gifts, support for specific UI colleges and programs, how private support helps the UI, and how we recognize and thank our contributors.
- Each fall, we send detailed Donor Reports to contributors who have created endowed funds in support of scholarships, faculty positions, research funds, and other programs throughout the University; these materials provide information about each fund's endowment performance for the preceding fiscal year, as well as details about the people and/or programs that have benefited from the fund's proceeds. (Click here for more information about endowed funds.)
- Members of UI honor clubs -- including The Presidents Club, which recognizes the UI's most generous contributors -- often receive additional Foundation mailings, as well as invitations to Foundation- and UI-sponsored events across the country.
In addition to these means of reaching out to our contributors, the UI Foundation is highly responsive to all inquiries, whether via phone, mail, e-mail, or in person. If you have a question, just ask!
