2006 Alamo Bowl Hawkeye Huddle

More than 5,000 Hawkeye fans attended the pre-game 2006 Alamo Bowl Hawkeye Huddles at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas on December 30, 2006.

Voice of the Hawkeyes Gary Dolphin introduced player's families on stage. University of Iowa Interim President Gary Fethke, Director of Athletics Gary Barta, and Iowa Governor-elect Chet Culver all addressed the Hawkeye faithful and thanked them for their support of the Iowa football program.

The Hawkeye Marching Band and Spirit Squads performed for the packed room and tossed out t-shirts and footballs to the crowd. Fans carried their enthusiasm on to the game at the Alamodome and joined the record crowd to cheer on the Hawks as they faced the Texas Longhorns in the 2006 Alamo Bowl.
