Growing up in Mason City, Iowa, Jeff Horner always imagined himself wearing the black and gold as an Iowa Hawkeye.
Now the starting guard's dreams have come true -- and his excellent play on the court is being
helped along by thousands of teammates: I-Club members around Iowa and the nation.
"It feels great that there are so many generous Hawkeye fans out there," Jeff says.
"To know that they are always going to be there, no matter what, is a morale booster.
I feel like they're part of the team."
With a double major in communication studies and sports studies in addition to the demands of playing Big Ten basketball, the 2003-04 team co-MVP has his work cut out for him. But
the I-Club's got his back, and he couldn't be more grateful.
"There are no better fans in the country," Jeff says proudly. "Knowing they're there for us makes all the difference in the world."
