Program Support A key element of the UI's mission, complementing and extending its education and research, is serving the residents of Iowa. That service happens via UI programs, centers, and institutes that enrich lives on campus, across Iowa, and beyond our state's borders. Whether they take advantage of the UI's offerings in the arts, public health and safety, athletics, museums, or one of the University's many other programs, people throughout our community and our state benefit from the energetic and innovative work of UI staff, faculty, and students. During the Good. Better. Best. Iowa campaign, contributors have generously supported programs that touch Iowans' lives. That support enables the UI to be not just the University of Iowa, but also the University for Iowa. Research Support Universities exist to ask questions and seek answers . . . answers that can help make us healthier, wiser, safer, and better able to enjoy the world around us. UI faculty and staff are immersed in scientific inquiry, artistic innovation, medical research, and scholarly advancement -- bringing new knowledge and understanding into UI classrooms and onto the world stage.
