Your Gifts Matter!

Your contributions to the Cancer Center Development Fund or the Cancer Center Research Fund can help the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center serve Iowans, the nation, and the world in ways such as these:

• A commitment of $180 can provide more than a week's worth of fuel for the center's mobile mammography van, which travels the state to provide critical diagnostic tests for women.
• Five investments of just $130 each will help us continue to afford valuable technology upgrades and purchases. We can't adequately care for cancer patients without the benefit of up-to-date computers, software, and diagnostic equipment.
• Eight contributions of just $100 each will help support one cancer center team member's continuing-education travel this year. Due to tightening health-care budgets, the center's educational and travel funds have been stretched thin. These resources are important because they allow our staff -- nurses, physicians, and others -- to collaborate on national research projects, attend professional meetings, and bring the latest findings back to Iowa to further assist patients and families.
