• Your sustaining support helps us increase the availability and impact of scholarships and assistantships for deserving students. Financial assistance can make college more accessible for a student of limited financial means, or encourage a remarkable student to choose Iowa over other prestigious schools. Often, it does both.
• Keeping up with the latest technology and techniques is expensive. Your gifts enable us to stay on the cutting edge of technologies to empower learning, from historical inventions like the first automated test scoring machine to new developments like the ePortfolio project, a tool we've developed so that our graduates can enter the workforce with a powerful digital portfolio of their work and experience.
• Private support also helps fund special programs within the college to encourage and welcome students with diverse backgrounds -- initiatives that create opportunity for a wide range of students and promote an environment of awareness and understanding of people and cultures.
• Because the College of Education provides resources for-and collaborates with-teachers, administrators, and communities throughout the state, your generosity reaches students far beyond the UI campus.
