It's been a year since the first issue of the I-Club E-News, and the response has been tremendous. We are happy to have this opportunity to share news about the Hawkeyes -- and about the I-Club, which is so crucial to keeping the UI athletics program at the top of its game. If you know of someone who might appreciate receiving this e-newsletter, please let us know.

In 2005, Iowa supporters once again expressed their Hawkeye loyalty by giving generously to Iowa athletics. I-Club support helps defray the costs of scholarships, team travel, recruiting, equipment, medical services, and more. Iowa's coaches, staff, and student-athletes appreciate the support of all Hawkeye fans and look forward to seeing many of you at the I-Club Spring Banquets being held throughout Iowa and the Midwest so they can thank you in person.

Football season ticket holder contributions
Your I-Club contributions should be made by June 1, 2006, to ensure proper mailing of your football season tickets and parking pass (if applicable). Support from loyal fans like you is vital to keeping the Hawkeyes strong. I-Club members should have received their 2006 annual mailing by now -- remember, it's easy to make your gift online!

Join the fun at the NCAA tournaments!
With both the Hawkeye men's and women's basketball teams dancing in the NCAA tournaments this week, we're gathering all Hawkeye fans for fun and festivities at free pre-game Hawkeye Huddles. Keep track of Iowa's progress at the basketball and wrestling NCAA tournaments at www.hawkeyesports.com.

The I-Club: Coming soon to your neck of the woods?
The I-Club Spring Banquet tour schedule has been set. Join Iowa coaches and staff at events throughout Iowa and the Midwest. All Hawkeye fans are invited!

Kinnick construction precludes 2006 Spring Game
But there's still an opportunity for springtime Hawkeye camaraderie: I-Club members at the Bronze Hawks level or higher will be invited to the annual Spring Contributor Reception on Saturday, April 29, prior to UI softball and baseball games.

Lunch with the Coach
Enjoy a springtime Lunch with the Coach at the UI Athletics Hall of Fame. Join us Tuesday, March 21, with the tennis, softball, and baseball head coaches; and Tuesday, April 11, with the golf and track head coaches.

Save the date: 2006 Golden Harvest
The 2006 Golden Harvest golf outing and banquet will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006. Mark your calendars now!

I-Club events in your area
In addition to the annual Spring Banquets, many local I-Clubs are holding golf events. Check frequently to learn of opportunities to join fellow Hawkeye fans for a day of black-and-gold golf.

Follow the Hawkeyes on the road next fall and attend the free pre-game Hawkeye Huddles. All Hawkeye fans are welcome!

Bringing it all back home
Star Iowa guard and All-Big Ten player Crystal Smith and her father, assistant women's basketball coach and former Hawkeye player Michael Morgan, are giving new meaning to the phrase "Hawkeye family" -- with help from I-Club members.
