A periodic e-newsletter from the National I-Club
with news about the Iowa Hawkeyes and the I-Club
Dear Iowa Hawkeye Fan,
I want to thank you for your support of University of Iowa Hawkeye athletics this past winter. It has been thrilling to watch the wrestling team win the Big Ten and NCAA Championships (with Head Coach Tom Brands winning NWCA Coach of the Year honors), and the women's basketball team win the Big Ten Championship with Head Coach Lisa Bluder earning her 500th career victory on the way to being named Big Ten Coach of the Year.
In the coming months, the spring sports teams will do their part to represent their University with distinction around the country and at home. Every Hawkeye team makes Iowans proud and their success is directly impacted by people like you -- our fans -- who so loyally give their cheers and financial support to the black and gold. As a self-supporting department on the UI campus that receives no state funding, the UI Athletics Department relies upon your annual support. Please establish or renew your I-Club membership today and help the Hawkeyes compete for more Big Ten and national recognition.
Thank you . . . and GO HAWKS!
Gary A. Barta
Director of Athletics
