• Graduate Student Travel Awards.
  Your sustaining support helps provide funding for students whose limited budgets would not allow them to travel to and participate in important career-building opportunities, such as professional and academic conferences.

• The Certificate in Teaching Excellence Program.
  Your gift enables graduate students to hone their collegiate teaching abilities and receive a certificate that acknowledges their proven teaching skills and experience -- enhancing their opportunities in the competitive academic job market.
• Faculty Mentor Award.
  The mentor/mentee relationship is one of the most important and valued aspects of graduate education at Iowa. Each year, thousands of UI faculty members share their time and expertise as dedicated mentors. The Faculty Mentor Award -- an annual prize of $5,000 -- is one of the most coveted and prestigious awards on campus because the winner is nominated and selected by the graduate students themselves. Your gift helps support this inspiring award.
• The Jakobsen Research Conference.
  Every March, hundreds of UI graduate students participate in the Jakobsen Conference, an inter-disciplinary research forum highlighting top research, scholarship, and creative work at the UI. Your commitment helps fund this outstanding event, which serves as a catalyst for building important interdisciplinary connections and understanding on campus.
