College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Give to IowaThe liberal arts and sciences are the essence of higher education, and the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) has long played a vital role in the university’s mission of education, research, and service. CLAS is the oldest and largest UI college with nearly 40 departments and schools—and more than 15 interdisciplinary programs—that prepare students for successful careers, fulfilling lives, and service to their communities.
Four out of five UI undergraduates are CLAS students, and every student takes key foundational and elective courses in the college. Here, guided by world-class faculty, students learn to communicate, reason, inquire, and understand across a wide spectrum of academic disciplines. They become the critical problem solvers, innovative thinkers, masterful communicators, and culturally competent leaders valued by today’s employers.
Through For Iowa. Forever More: The Campaign for the University of Iowa, CLAS seeks to cultivate the private support to sustain and strengthen the people, programs, and facilities that will help lead the college in the future.

Honor Clubs
Because annual support at every level is crucial to maintaining the quality of the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences's departments and programs, CLAS has established honor clubs to recognize individuals and organizations who provide generous annual support of $1,000 or more to any department or program of the college.
| Level | Gift Amount |
|---|---|
| Dean's Club Patrons Circle | $2,500 and above |
| Dean's Club | $1,000 to $2,499 |
Members of the Dean's Club are invited to special events and receive special correspondence from the dean. Most important, they receive the sincere appreciation of the dean and the college's students, faculty, and staff.
In addition to this recognition by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the University of Iowa Foundation has a variety of recognition programs to thank our generous contributors. Learn more about university-wide honor clubs.
