Your Gifts Matter!
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is the UI's oldest and largest college. Central to the UI's mission, it comprises more than 50 departments and programs in the performing and fine arts; humanities; natural sciences and mathematics; and social sciences, and teaches almost 80 percent of all UI undergraduate students.
Many of our programs are ranked in the top ten nationally (please visit www.uifoundation.org/liberal_arts/rankings.shtml for a complete listing).
Your gift to the CLAS Development Fund or any departmental fund will help UI students develop into:
- Excellent writers and communicators, able to persuasively articulate ideas
- Innovative problem-solvers, prepared to meet any career challenge
- Critical thinkers, ready to ask the right questions and find the right answers
- Technologically savvy graduates, equipped to stay ahead of the professional curve
Ongoing support enables students to take advantage of -- and create -- extraordinary educational opportunities, such as:
- Working alongside faculty on important laboratory and field research, and engaging in groundbreaking creative explorations
- Utilizing emerging technologies that their departments might not be able to afford without private support
- Presenting research findings to key national and regional conferences, and displaying or performing their art at high-profile venues around the country
Ongoing sustaining support from alumni and friends is essential to our mission. Please do what you can to help by giving online at www.givetoiowa.org/clas
If you work for a company that matches gifts, you can multiply your support for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
