About The University of Iowa Libraries
The University Libraries network includes 12 campus libraries with a combined collection of 3.8 million volumes and more than 39,000 serials. Among 109 university research libraries in the US and Canada, the UI system -- with its Main Library that focuses on humanities and social sciences and its 11 branch libraries -- ranks in the top 30 in collection size.
The University Libraries network is the largest library system in Iowa, serving nearly 2.1 million patrons each year. The UI Libraries system includes:

The nationally recognized Information Arcade in the Main Library and the Information Commons in the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences offer expert consultation and state-of-the-art computer hardware and software to help students and faculty integrate new media technologies in their teaching, learning, and research.
