WHAT: Announcement of landmark gift to the University of Iowa Cancer Center

WHEN: 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 1, 2000

WHERE: Front terrace of new parking structure on Newton Road, west of the Westlawn Building.

WHO: University of Iowa President Mary Sue Coleman; UI College of Medicine Dean Robert Kelch; UI Cancer Center Director George Weiner; UI Hospitals and Clinics Director and C.E.O. R. Edward Howell; UI Foundation President Michael New; and other guests.

The University of Iowa Foundation will announce a landmark gift to the UI Cancer Center on Friday, Sept. 1 at a 10:30 a.m. program. (The event begins at 10 a.m.; program will commence at 10:30 a.m.) The event will be held in front of the newly constructed parking structure on Newton Road, west of the Westlawn Building on the University of Iowa health sciences campus.

Broadcast media should note that electrical outlets will not be available for cameras and other equipment.
