Erin Minné to head corporate/foundation relations for UI Foundation
Posted July 25, 2001
IOWA CITY -- Erin Minné has been appointed to the position of assistant vice president, corporate and foundation relations, at the University of Iowa Foundation.
Minné has worked for the past six years as director of foundation relations and stewardship for Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich. Prior to that, she served as foundation officer, major gifts officer and community relations manager for nonprofit organizations in the Detroit area.
"We are delighted to have Erin here. Her thoughtful, strategic approach to building relationships with corporations and foundations, particularly national foundations, will result in greater depth and breadth of such support for a variety of UI programs," said Steve Sanders, vice president of development programs at the UI Foundation.
Minné said, "I'm very happy to be in Iowa City, with all of its amenities, and working for a major institution such as the University of Iowa Foundation."
Minné has an M.A. degree in philanthropy and development from St. Mary's University of Minnesota, and a B.G.S. from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
The UI Foundation is the preferred channel for private contributions to all areas of the university. Foundation staff work with alumni and friends to generate funds for scholarships, professorships, facilities improvements, equipment purchases, research and other UI initiatives.
