IOWA CITY -- Christopher J. Collins and Cassidy K. Titcomb have joined the staff of the University of Iowa Foundation as assistant directors of gift planning. Both UI graduates, Collins and Titcomb will assist alumni and friends who wish to support the UI through estate gifts, life-income gifts, bequests, trusts and other forms of gift planning.
Before joining the UI Foundation staff, Collins worked at Cargill Investor Services in Chicago as a client representative, trade support services manager and client solutions analyst. He also served as a volunteer co-chair of Cargill's School Partnership Program. Collins earned a B.A. degree in religion from the UI in 1994 and has pursued graduate studies in education at Northeastern Illinois University.
Prior to coming to the UI Foundation, Titcomb was director of annual giving and special events at the Four Oaks Foundation in Cedar Rapids. She currently serves on the advisory board of the UI Women's Resource and Action Center and on the board of directors of the Iowa Women's Foundation. From 1996 to 2001 she worked at the UI Department of Residence Services. Titcomb earned an M.A. degree in student development in post-secondary education from the UI in 1995 and a B.A. degree in philosophy from Colgate University in 1992.
The UI Foundation is the preferred channel for private contributions to all areas of the university. Foundation staff work with alumni and friends to generate funds for scholarships, professorships, facilities improvements, equipment purchases, research and other UI initiatives.
