UI Foundation publication for Iowa law school strikes national gold

IOWA CITY -- A University of Iowa Foundation-produced annual report and honor roll on giving to the UI College of Law has won a Gold Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). "A Sense of Community: The 2002 Honor Roll of Contributors, the University of Iowa College of Law and the Iowa Law School Foundation" took the gold in the individual development publications category of CASE's annual, nationwide Circle of Excellence awards competition. The creative team for the publication included UI Foundation employees Theresa Black and Tom Langdon, former foundation staff member Peter Ylvisaker and freelancer Steve Herder. The CASE award judges deemed the "Sense of Community" booklet to be one of the top entries out of 216 submitted in its category. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with an office in London, CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals in alumni relations, communications and fund-raising. Its membership includes more than 3,000 colleges, universities and independent elementary and secondary schools in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 42 other countries. The UI Foundation is acknowledged by the UI as a preferred channel for private contributions that benefit all areas of the university.
