Four UI Foundation publications win awards
Posted January 12, 2005
IOWA CITY -- Fund-raising materials produced by the University of Iowa Foundation communications staff have received four awards in the first-ever "Pride of CASE V" awards program, sponsored by a regional district of the national Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The UI Foundation received two gold awards, one silver award and one bronze award in the program, which attracted several hundred submissions from educational organizations throughout the Midwest.
The two UI Foundation gold winners were "The University of Iowa Foundation Annual Report on Giving to the University of Iowa" and the Presidents Club Assembly invitation package.
Earning a silver award was a UI Foundation gift-planning ad that appeared in programs for the university's Hancher Auditorium, and receiving a bronze award was a UI Foundation campaign fund-raising ad that appeared in the "Iowa Alumni Magazine," published by the UI Alumni Association.
Current UI Foundation communications staff members who helped produce the four CASE V winners include: Danette Angerer, Nic Arp, Theresa Black, Richard Blazek, Connie Driscoll-Wicke, Betsy Hickok, Leah Klevar, Tom Langdon, Forrest Meyer, Susan Shullaw and Jill Tobin.
Former UI Foundation communications staff members or freelance contributors who helped produce the four CASE winners include: Jeff Brockmeyer and Bette Marshall.
The UI acknowledges the UI Foundation as the preferred channel for private contributions that benefit all areas of the university. For more information about the foundation, visit its web site at www.uiowafoundation.org.
