"As the state's only comprehensive academic medical center, we see the sickest children," said Michael Artman, M.D., pediatrician-in-chief of Children's Hospital of Iowa. "Our goal is to provide world-class treatment and then develop a care plan with the referring provider so that follow-up care can take place back home. We embrace a family-centered care philosophy that involves parents at every step. Our new state-of-the art hospital facilities are child-friendly and designed to have parents close by throughout the hospital stay."
Mix 96 Program Director Jim O'Hara said, "Our station is so centered around Quad City families, we can't imagine a better cause than the Children's Miracle Network and Children's Hospital of Iowa. We're excited to lend our support."
