Fund-raising materials for Kinnick Stadium win national award

IOWA CITY -- A package of direct-mail fund-raising materials for the renovation of the University of Iowa's historic Kinnick Stadium has won an award in a national competition sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
"Third and Goal: The Drive for Kinnick Stadium," produced in 2005 by the UI Foundation communications staff, won a bronze medal in CASE's 2006 Circle of Excellence Awards program.
CASE received more than 3,100 entries in its 2006 Circle of Excellence awards competition in 40 categories of competition; 315 entries received awards. One gold medal, two silver medals, and two bronze medals -- including the bronze given for the foundation's "Third and Goal" package -- were awarded among the 46 entries in the Fund-Raising Publications Packages category.
UI Foundation communications staff members who helped produce the award-winning package included Nic Arp, writer; Theresa Black and Dick Blazek, designers; Hilery Livengood, creative concept; and Jill Tobin, photographer and digital image specialist.
