IOWA CITY -- UI Foundation President Lynette Marshall has announced that Flynn Andrizzi, formerly the foundation's vice president for health sciences development, has been promoted to senior vice president for development. In his new role, Andrizzi will supervise four development vice presidents, will lead the foundation's overall fund-raising function and will direct future major fund-raising campaigns on behalf of the UI.

Erin Minné, formerly associate vice president for health sciences development, has succeeded Andrizzi as vice president for health sciences development. Among other duties, Minné will assume the day-to-day management of the health sciences development team.

"I am very pleased that we will be able to fully utilize Flynn's extensive and high-level experience in development," Marshall said. "His team's work will be ably complemented by our very fine support and operational areas, and his leadership of our fund raising will allow me to focus on overall strategic initiatives for the foundation.

"I'm also delighted that Erin will be providing highly effective management and leadership for our crucial and growing fund-raising efforts on behalf of the UI's excellent medical center and health sciences colleges," Marshall added.

Before joining the UI Foundation in 2005, Andrizzi served as vice president for institutional advancement at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Prior to that, he served in top fund-raising positions at the University of Utah.

Minné came to the UI Foundation in 2001 as assistant vice president for corporate and foundation relations. In 2005 she was promoted to associate vice president for medical center development.

As senior vice president for development, Andrizzi is a member of the UI Foundation's management team. Other members of the management group are Marshall; Tiffani Shaw, senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer; and Susan Shullaw, senior vice president for strategic communications.

The UI acknowledges the UI Foundation as the preferred channel for private contributions that benefit all areas of the university. For more information about the foundation, visit its web site at www.uiowafoundation.org.
