The Presidents Club Gold and Silver
In 1998 The Presidents Club began offering special recognition to individuals and organizations who provide outright or deferred support at the exceptionally generous levels shown below.
The Presidents Club Gold recognizes cumulative outright gifts and pledge commitments of $1 million or more or deferred support of $2.5 million* or more per membership.
The Presidents Club Silver recognizes individuals who have provided cumulative outright gifts and pledge commitments of $250,000 through $999,999 or deferred support of $625,000 to $2,499,999* per membership.
Members of The Presidents Club Gold and The Presidents Club Silver are recognized on a permanent plaque displayed in the Levitt Center for University Advancement.
* Note: With testamentary provisions such a wills and trusts, the contributor's age (if under 60) will be a factor in determining the amount of deferred gift necessary for membership. A whole life insurance policy can be purchased as the qualifying gift, provided the policy's cash value will be at least $40,000 within 10 years or the premium payment is at least $4,000 annually. (Premium payments should be made directly to the insurance carrier and then confirmed with the UI Foundation.) The Foundation must be both owner and beneficiary. Various combinations of insurance premium payments as well as outright gifts (such as cash and securities) and deferred gifts may be used to qualify for membership. Further guidelines are available from the UI Foundation development staff.

"Through my work on University and Foundation committees, I have observed and marveled at the tireless dedication of our Presidents Club members, including many UI faculty and staff members and second and third generation Presidents Club contributors."
