College of Pharmacy
Give to IowaFor more than 125 years, the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy has led the way in educating the very best pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. The college has a national and global reputation for the quality of its pharmacy education, pharmacist-physician collaboration, health-sciences research, and patient care.
The world of health care is changing, and pharmacists are at the forefront of this transformation. As the profession has evolved—shifting its focus from dispensing drugs to serving patients and providing guidance for safe, effective medication use—the UI College of Pharmacy has kept pace with these innovations. Today, it recruits the nation’s top students and faculty; fosters case-based collaboration with other health-care providers; and provides outstanding, student-centered learning.
Now is the time for the UI College of Pharmacy to reach for even greater heights. Despite its reputation for excellence, the college is operating in a facility that no longer meets its needs. With a new, state-of-the-art building—and other key resources—Iowa pharmacy can continue to deliver a contemporary pharmacy education and to prepare its graduates to be the health-care leaders of the future.
