Lists of Named Deanships, Chairs, and Professorships
Named faculty positions are among the University's most important tools for attracting, rewarding, and retaining top faculty in all UI colleges, departments, and programs.
The vast majority of these positions have been created through the generosity of alumni and other contributors, who are given the opportunity to name a deanship, chair, or professorship in honor or memory of a friend, colleague, family member, or organization.
Because the University and the UI Foundation are committed to honoring our donors' wishes, it's important to correctly list these faculty positions in publications, news releases, web sites, and other communications.
