Recognition and Thanks
Most UI colleges and other campus programs publish honor rolls and maintain honor clubs to recognize their supporters. In addition, The University of Iowa Foundation offers a variety of University-wide recognition opportunities for generous donors whose support impacts the entire university.

After Your Gift: Receipts and Acknowledgments
The UI Foundation deposits all checks promptly and will send an acknowledgment for your gift and a receipt for your tax records for each program you support. Gifts of securities are followed by a formal acknowledgment and receipt. For online gifts paid via credit card, an email confirming your gift is sent immediately, followed by your official tax receipt and acknowledgment.
While the IRS requires a receipt for all charitable contributions of $250 or more, the UI Foundation sends receipts for gifts of all amounts. Typically, acknowledgments and receipts are sent within five days of when the Foundation receives the gift, but at peak gift processing times, such as the end of the year, it often takes longer to record such gifts and send acknowledgments.
