Friends of WSUI/KSUI
Gifts of all sizes help WSUI and KSUI serve The University of Iowa and the surrounding region with their excellent public radio programming.
In the fall of 2003, the stations hosted their fifth on-air fund drive, raising more than $216,000 from the Friends of WSUI/KSUI, listeners who value the service the stations provide. Annual listener support is becoming increasingly important for public radio in general, and especially for WSUI and KSUI as the UI faces ongoing budget cuts.
Your annual gifts, which make you a Friend of WSUI/KSUI, help the stations improve programming and technical quality, and bring public radio personalities like Whad'ya Know's Michael Feldman and A Prairie Home Companion's Garrison Kiellor to Iowa City.
- Every gift helps! All Friends of WSUI/KSUI, at any gift level, regularly receive program schedules and news about the stations in the mail.
- Day Sponsors are those Friends who give $365 a year -- just one dollar a day -- or more to WSUI/KSUI. Your Day Sponsorship allows you to choose a specific date and compose a dedication, which will be read on the air three times during that special day.
- Partners are special Friends of WSUI/KSUI who give $1,000 or more annually to support the stations. In addition to the Day Sponsorship recognition noted above, you will be invited to special radio events and opportunities to meet NPR personalities.
In addition to these opportunities, The University of Iowa Foundation has a variety of recognition programs to acknowledge the generosity of contributors University-wide. Learn more about University-wide honor clubs.
